SAP Business One Add-on for the Food and Beverage Industry

Intake

Food intake systemThe purpose of the intake system is to receive products in from suppliers, log their attributes, issue batch codes and labels for these items. Items received at the Intake are then ‘in stock’ on the system and available for the further stages.

Good Receipt

At this stage, Purchase Orders for the intake product will be created on the system. The order items and their attributes are labelled as an intake product against a batch code, creating a stock label. The Product is received onto the purchase order and a stock record is created. A goods receipt is automatically issued to SAP Business One and the purchase is marked as completed.

Issue to Production / Issue to Recipe

A production order is created by the user (Office or Factory Floor). Product items are moved to a stored location where they are scanned or scanned and re-weighed to work in progress production locations. The items will be consumed from stock and a new batch will be created that is linked to the scanned barcode batch number.

Receipt from Production

Production is selected from a list, the production order will load the output products selected by the bill of materials. When the product is selected, weighed and labelled, the machine will record and issue the stock to a new location. Packaging materials can be set auto-consume. This process will continue until the batch is completed.

Receipt from Recipe

When a recipe is selected from a list, the recipe order will load the output products selected by the bill of materials. The recipe item will be displayed with image, tolerances and mixing instructions. On compilation, the recipe is weighed and labelled as finished stock. Packing can be set to auto-consume or the recipe can be stored as a subassembly recipe and issued to stock.

Production

The purpose of the Issue to Production system is to relocate stock from a fixed location to a work in progress production area for future/ further processing.

Stock Movement

The user will scan a product label and select the destination location. When the location is selected, the product will be moved to the new location – there is no limit to the number of stock moments.

Sales

Sale order is to deliver the products to the customer, and track traceability, batch codes and label information for products.

Dispatch

Sale order for sale items will be created on the system. When a sale order is selected, the order will be displayed by scanning the item’s barcode – the stock will then transfer to the sale order. All the traceability and batch information associated will be attached to the sales order. On completion of a sales order, a sales delivery is automatically issued to SAP Business One, the sales order closed off and the sale item is removed from stock
